On December 15, 2006, Internet Call manager will be shut down. Please read below for details you should know, in addition to similar services that may be available in your area.
We stopped billing for the service five weeks prior to the Dec. 15 shut down date. This ensures that you will not have any paid time remaining when your service is disconnected on Dec. 15. However, please note that usual telephone company charges for call forwarding features apply while your account remains active.
When your service is shut down on Dec. 15, you will be unable to access any voicemail previously received via the service. If you have any voicemail messages that you wish to keep, please ensure you download them to your computer from your web voicemail page before Dec. 15.
When you signed up for ICM we may have ordered the required phone features on your behalf, or instructed you to do so.
*IF* we arranged for the necessary call forwarding features on your behalf: Immediately following the shut down of ICM, we will contact your telephone company to have these features removed from your phone line.
If you do not want us to contact your telephone company to have these features removed, you must email us at help@internetcallmanager.com no later than December 8, 2006.
*IF* we instructed you to contact your telephone company to arrange for the necessary call forwarding features:
To prevent charges for these features after ICM is shut down, you must contact your telephone company directly and ask that they be removed.
If you were using ICM, the feature you want removed is called Call Forward Busy. If you were using ICM Deluxe, you should ask to have Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer removed from your phone line. If you’re unsure what features are on your phone line, your telephone company will be able to help you.
It is recommended you uninstall your ICM software once the service is shut down. Here’s how:
Note: If you are unable to uninstall the software using the above method, go to your "Control Panel", choose "Add/Remove Programs" and then select "Internet Call Manager" from the list, then “Change/Remove”.
