Using the Voice Mail Button

When a call is received by ICM, a pop-up is displayed showing information about the caller.  This pop-up is called the Incoming Call Pop-up.  The Incoming Call Pop-up's Voice Mail button directs the caller to leave a voice message.

To send users to voice mail

With the Incoming Call Pop-up displayed, click the Voice Mail button.

This plays the caller a default greeting telling them that you are not available and to leave a voice message.

The caller can then leave their message and your Message Waiting Indicator button will indicate that you have new voice mail.

Note:  This is also what will happen to the call if you make no selection when prompted by the Incoming Call Pop-up.

If you subscribe to a telephone company's voice mail system and you live in an area where we are able to fully integrate ICM with your voice mail system, clicking the Voice Mail button directs the caller to that service.  You can then retrieve your messages using the method prescribed for that service.
