Setting your Open Door Configurations

If you live in an apartment building that has a phone-access door buzzing system, you can configure ICM to "buzz" visitors in with the Open Door feature.  When you receive an Incoming Call Pop-up notifying you of a phone call, Open Door appears as a subset of the Play Msg button.  You can configure this to set the correct tone to open your door.

To configure the Open Door feature

Click the ICM Main Window's Setup button.

The ICM Setup window opens with the General submenu visible.

Ensure that the correct menu is displayed by clicking the plus sign (+) beside the Custom Greetings menu item, then click on Open Door.

Click the checkbox next to Click to enable Open Door button to have this option appear in your Play Msg pull-down menu.

From the drop-down menu, select the button you press on your telephone dial pad to open the entry door of your building.

Click the OK button to accept the changes and dismiss the dialog.

Now when you have an incoming call, and you select Play Msg, the drop down extended choice of options will include Open The Door option.

The Cancel button lets you dismiss the dialog without accepting any changes you might have made.
