Getting Started

Internet Call Manager (ICM) notifies you of phone calls you receive while you're on the Internet and lets you decide how you want to handle the call.

When you're on the Internet with ICM running, and you receive a phone call, an Incoming Call Pop-up appears on your screen, telling you who is calling, and letting you choose how you want to handle the call.

When you see this window, you can use the buttons on the pop-up to choose how to handle the call. You can select either:

Answer

Disconnects you from the Internet (if you are a dial-up user), redirects the call back to your phone line so it will ring, and then allows you to answer the call.

Transfer

Transfers the call to another number, which you can configure in your ICM software.

Play Message

Plays the caller a choice of messages. The defaults which come with ICM are:

I'll Call You Back which notifies the caller you are aware that they have called and will call them back.

Call Me Back which notifies the caller you are aware that they have called and you wish them to call you back in a few minutes

Plus 4 others that you can customize yourself!

Voice Mail

Sends the caller to your ICM voice mail, which you can retrieve right on the Internet, or by phone if you subscribe to ICM Deluxe.

Ignore

Dismisses the pop-up. Your caller will hear ringing, as if you were not home.
